We're thrilled to share that this month marks the completion of a yearslong expansion project at Taylor Glen. It's been a process that involved many people working together, but this week we highlighted two key team members who facilitated new residents joining the community.
The Taylor Glen sales and marketing team has done an incredible amount of work to sell and then facilitate the move-in process for 50 new residences. So this week we celebrated Anne Garrett Diaz, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Baylea Knight, Residency Counselor, with a surprise movie-premiere-themed event.

"The process of bringing 50 new residents to Taylor Glen has gone so smoothly,” said Jen Bartscht, Chief Marketing Officer. “That's all because of the hard work and dedication of the team, and especially AG and Baylea. They've worked tirelessly to sell every home before construction was complete and coordinate each new resident's move-in seamlessly. We're so thankful to have them on the team!"
Executive Director April Weddington congratulated AG and Baylea on a job well done. She thanked them for their hard work and dedication throughout the expansion.

AG shared that it was truly a team effort and expressed gratitude that everyone was present, since each department played an important role in welcoming residents to their new homes.
Maintenance assisted with move-ins, Activities helped residents bring their talents into the community, and Housekeeping ensured each residence was move-in ready. We had several artistic new residents move in, which has already led to new opportunities for residents such as calligraphy classes, art classes with Wanda and other creative programs.
The Taylor Glen team worked hard for years to make this expansion a reality. Seeing these new spaces come to life with neighbors, friends and daily activity is an incredible milestone for everyone who has been part of the journey.
The expansion included new cottages, a new villa apartment building, the first Green House home in North Carolina for residents with memory care needs, and a complete renovation of the dining room, café and other public spaces. These additions create more opportunities for residents to enjoy the lifestyle and connections that make Taylor Glen such a special community.

Over the course of the project, residents, team members and construction partners worked together through periods of change, construction activity and constant progress.

This week’s celebration event was a long time coming, so it took the team to pull to off. Lauren Jernigan planned the décor, with Denise Boyd and April helping with the set up. The stars on the wall represented all the new residents, one star for every move-in. The theme was complete with a red carpet, personalized movie posters and a small Emmy-style award for each of them.
Dreama McCree created the themed cake, cupcakes and key-shaped cookies. Brendan Krebs made two large Snickers cheesecakes, favorites of AG and Baylea. The celebration was attended by all department heads, the Taylor Glen leadership team, Eric Nooe and Jen, who helped us pull off the surprise.
