Q.  What is Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, Incorporated?
A.  Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina Incorporated (BRH) is one of the state's most respected providers of residential and health care living options for Older Adults. It was established in 1951 and currently owns and operates retirement communities in Albemarle, Asheville, and Winston-Salem, in addition to The Gardens of Taylor Glen community in Concord. Baptist Retirement Homes is a not-for-profit organization. It has a historical relationship with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina but is a separate and distinct corporate entity.
Q.  What is a continuing care retirement community?
A.  The Gardens of Taylor Glen is a continuing care retirement community… a community designed to provide active retirees a gracious and comfortable lifestyle with numerous amenities as well as the security of knowing that quality health care services are available if a continuum of care is needed in the future. The Gardens of Taylor Glen offers its residents an active retirement lifestyle option via an aprtment home setting; Services for apartment home residents include Assisted Living for individuals and couples who need some help with the activities of everyday living; a Memory Enhanced Residence for the care of those with dementia-related disorders; and Nursing Care services on both a short-term and a continuing basis.
